Builder Story
In 1991, Danny Finoro was armed with conviction, determination, and a strong work ethic instilled in him and his brothers by their hardworking father. Being only 17 years of age when he built his first house, these qualities have helped him to develop Finoro Homes into the company it is today. Currently, building an average of 100 homes per year – they are far surpassing the company's original goal!
It is that type of initiative and vision that is the foundation of this fine company. House by house, it has grown considerably, while continuing to offer the same custom craftsmanship brothers Danny learned under his father's careful guidance. Both are skilled as finishing carpenters who have worked with many Guelph area homebuilders.
Not wanting to stand in anyone's shadow, Danny embarked on building his first house, implementing the skills and philosophy he had learned from his father, and from within the industry. He had a vision of how he could improve upon home construction and what was necessary to achieve that goal, and he set out to do just that. Today, he has built a reputation on impeccable service, fine workmanship, and efficiency… leaving the homebuyer as the ultimate beneficiary.. Employing clear vision and a savvy business sense, Danny began to expand an opportunity to buy a few lots in Fergus into the development of two communities. The result was Cherry Hill Estates and Victoria Terrace, where a total of over 150 homes were built, all with the assurance that each was built with the custom craftsmanship two generations of the Finoro family have been practicing for more than 30 years.
These successful developments have lead to further building in Acton, Elmira, Tavistock, and the Company's hometown of Guelph, soon Woodstock will be added to this list.
It has been this vision and determination that has lead Finoro Homes into Land development. In 2005, The Lunor Group was formed, opening a new chapter for Danny and Finoro Homes. This will allow Finoro Homes more input into the communities that they will be building in well into the future, and as a result, it will offer better opportunities for Finoro Homeowners. Lunor is now actively working on projects in Woodstock, Elmira, Tavistock, and Guelph. Such phenomenal growth, success and acceptance may have propelled others into rapid expansion, but Danny Finoro has chosen to stick with what made him successful… meeting and exceeding your customers expectations.
Finoro Homes prides itself with efficiency and productivity because staff are always available to make decisions on-the-spot, to do customer changes as they arise, and maintain contact with all of their trades, who are equally independent.
