Danny and Peter Finoro

Builder Story

In 1991 Danny Finoro was armed with conviction, determination and a strong work ethic instilled in him and his brothers by a hardworking father. (Danny Finoro was only 17 years old when he built his first house), and the company hasn't looked back. Currently, Finoro Homes builds an average of 100 homes per year - far surpassing the company's original goal!

It's that type of initiative and vision that is the foundation of this company. House by house it has grown while continuing to offer the custom craftsmanship brothers Danny and Peter Finoro learned under their father's careful guidance. All are skilled as finishing carpenters who have worked with many area homebuilders. Not wanting to stand in anyone's shadow, Danny embarked on building his first house, implementing the skills and philosophy he had learned from his father and within the industry. He had a vision of how he could improve home construction and how he could achieve that goal. Today, his appreciation of fine workmanship coupled with a desire for efficiency has virtually eliminated deficiencies so homebuyers receive the ultimate benefit.

Proving there is strength in family and in numbers, Danny and Peter forged a partnership and began their legacy of building intimately-sized homes in Guelph and Fergus. Together the brothers oversee their sites with the same hands-on approach they use when building their very own homes. Still not content to work in the shadows, they employed clear vision and a savvy business sense to expand an opportunity to buy a few lots in Fergus into the development of two communities. The result was Cherry Hill Estates and Victoria Terrace, where a total of over 100 homes were built, all with the assurance that each was built with the custom craftsmanship two generations of the Finoro family have been practicing for more than 30 years.

Such phenomenal growth, success and acceptance has propelled others into rapid expansion and multiple projects. But the Finoro brothers are different. They are always on-site where they ensure that the highest standards are attained. Acting as their own site supervisors, they increase efficiency and productivity because they are always available to make decisions on-the-spot, do their own repairs as they arise and maintain contact with all of their trades whom are equally independent and able to act on instructions immediately - increasing efficiency for everyone - builders, tradespeople and homebuyers.

With a 15 year history of building in Southwestern Ontario, Finoro Homes has remained in touch with life in small towns and the expectations of present and future residents who are seeking a quieter lifestyle away from the city. Through their work in Fergus, Danny and Peter gained the respect of developer Fred Dawkins, another small-town native, and were invited to take part in Devon Place which represented an opportunity for them to continue to build in a small community where the quality, craftsmanship and features of their homes will be appreciated and respected by homebuyers who desire a home, not simply a house.

With their growth objectives already attained and clear acceptance received from their peers and colleagues, Danny and Peter Finoro have established more qualitative goals - like the peace of mind, comfort and loyalty of homebuyers who can look forward to returning to Finoro Homes for their next home as their families grow and their needs change. It's a goal already being achieved through the pride of ownership on view in the communities they have built and by Danny and Peter who take pride in their home construction from the inside out.
